Things I'm Seeing Without You by Peter Bognanni

Things I'm Seeing Without YouThis was a Buddy-Read with the awesome ☽ MaryJane ✨

I received this book in a GoodReads Giveaway. Can you believe I won something? Cool.

Here's a 'quick' 30 - second review of Things I'm Seeing Without You :

*Let's start with the cover. It's more beautiful in real life than it is on the GoodReads Page.

* Without giving anything away, Tess learns that the boy she met one night (and later continued to have an online 'long distance' relationship) had died. Tess learned of his death via FB. So, Tess continued to write him on FB even though she knew that he will never respond... until one night, she receives an FB message from her dead BF.

* This book talks about grief, depression, and anxiety ... but very lightly. One thing that touched me was the way the author described depression and anxiety from a point of view of a family member and a friend. You have to read the book to read how it was presented.
It's different when you suffer from this condition than actually seeing/loving someone suffering from this condition. Trust me -- big difference.

* My complaint was that I wish it was longer and I wish it was deeper than what it was. This was what I call a 'weekend read.'

* The 'romance.' *sigh* The 'romance' was another complaint, two of the characters fall for each other, but I feel there was no chemistry. I believe the relationship was created out of desperation for answers, but relationship in general, I just didn't feel it. Also, I didn't completely trust ... people. #trustissues

* Rated this book a very low 3 . It didn't exactly blow my mind as I wish the author went more in depth in certain situations presented in the story.
